The Simple Way

Interested in Affiliate Marketing, or want to create your online presence, that’s brilliant. Here I want to share for Affiliate Marketing Beginners how you can build your very own Affiliate Marketing website within minutes and see it go Live straight away. This is the process I went through, and I can assure you it’s very simple if you follow step-by-step.

What is Affiliate Marketing?

This is an online process where you promote a product or service and get paid a small commission.

Have a Niche in mind
Build your website
Create your content
Join an affiliate program
Add your affiliate links
Get organic traffic flowing
Receive a small commission when someone clicks on your link and makes a purchase

This is the usual process. Some experienced marketers speed the process up by getting “paid ad’s” to get more flowing traffic – then get more visitors clicking on their links. This can cost.

The platform I use Wealthy Affiliate offers a Free Starter which is what I accessed to see what it was all about first. Here you automatically go into their Affiliate program. Within the starter you get access to the Free Training, which is done by one of the founders, Kyle.

You will start in Wealthy Affiliate platform on the Free Starter membership, this is so you can browse and get the feel of it and start your training. Once you have decided you want to upgrade to the Premium membership I just want to share with you that everything you need can be accessed free:

The website hosting platform – Free within your free & premium membership
Creating a Domain for your website – Free with Siterubix – upgrade to get your own domain when you choose
Choosing a theme for your website – Free – unless you choose to upgrade
Using plugins for your website – Free – unless you choose to upgrade
Using plugins to enhance your website – Free – unless you choose to upgrade

You can run your website for Free and when it starts to grow and you are earning you may decide then that you want to upgrade – the great thing here is, that you move as slow or fast as you choose, it’s your choice how you proceed and there’s no pressure to upgrade unless it’s what you want and it’s to your advantage. You are in control of your website business.

It would be great if you can have an idea of what niche you want to use for your website, but if you have no idea that is fine, as you will have access to “niche ideas” as you go through the training.

Within the Training you will learn:

How to create and build your website.
How to decide on a Niche.
How to set up your domain and Brand.
How to add good content.
Learn the importance of good, informative content.
How to add images and videos.
Learn about the importance of good SEO.
Learn how to get organic traffic.

Firstly, you will be welcomed by Kyle – via a notification in the dashboard (at top right) otherwise you can browse around the dashboard, (although you will be guided on this) or you can proceed onto the Training, (you can have a sneak peek here): Training where you will get access to the first training videos, which are:

How the “Make Money Online” process works.
Setting money goals and accessing Live Chat.
Creating a hub (Website) for your business and choosing your Niche.
Crafting your first niche using the designer.
Choosing a Brand for your business.

This may seem overwhelming at first glance, but you are in control of how fast or slow you want to proceed, there is no pressure on you. You can replay any video to understand the process as many times as you want. Kyle, talks clearly and shows with diagrams of how each step works. It’s that simple. All I want to add is, if you decide this is for you, make sure you maybe write things down, keep notes to fall back on and reach out via Live chat if you feel there’s something you don’t understand, or just want to ask a question or actually introduce yourself, I can assure you the community here are very welcoming!

In lesson 2, Kyle will go over how the “Make Money Online” process works. As you can see below you will build your foundation first, which is your website. You are shown step-by-step how to create your website. Here you will want to have the name of your website ready. Then you will learn what traffic is and why it is important for your website and how to get traffic flowing to your website, this is via Google, YouTube, Pinterest and more. Continue With the Training

As you go through your training, you will learn how to monetize your website in other ways as well, for instance the Affiliate Programs can bring in passive income when set up right. Your commissions can bring you in passive income as well, I believe the secret is not to promote to many products at once, one really good product, set up well in content can continue to monetize your business for years, done correctly. Whilst doing your training:

Have Confidence & the Right Mindset for Affiliate Marketing.

1. Start with a Clear Purpose

Know your “why” – Are you doing this for freedom, extra income, or to help others? Keep that reason in front of you.
Confidence grows when you stay connected to your purpose.

2. Learn the Essentials (but avoid info overload)

Focus on one training platform.
Learn and implement one thing at a time (e.g., building your website, choosing a niche, writing blog posts).

3. Take Consistent Action

Confidence comes from doing.

Set small, doable goals each week.
Example: Write and publish one blog post a week.
Share one helpful tip per day/week on social media.

4. Track Your Progress

Keep a simple tracker of what you’ve accomplished (write things down even).
Celebrate small wins (like getting your first visitor or email subscriber).

5. Practice Self-Promotion

Share your content without fear. Start with friends or a small audience.
Use affirmations like: “I’m learning and improving every day.”

6. Join a Supportive Community

Engage with the Wealthy Affiliate community or other affiliate marketing groups.
Ask questions, share progress, and give support to others—it builds confidence.

7. Improve Through Feedback

Don’t fear criticism—use it to improve your landing page, posts etc
Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Test what works and what doesn’t. Growth mindset beats perfectionism.

8. Visualize Success

Imagine how it feels when you make consistent commissions or help someone through your content.
Visual rehearsal is powerful—it wires your brain for confidence.

Teach others what you learn because even if you’re still new, explaining something simple (like how affiliate links work) to someone else builds authority and confidence.
